Rectangular stepping stones are available in a variety of materials: natural stone, porcelain stoneware or slate.

• Natural stone: travertine, blue stone, Sinai Pearl limestone, slate (Black Slate Azul), etc.
• Stone-effect porcelain: wood imitation or natural stone, ideal for a modern look with no maintenance.
• Reconstituted stone. (Not available at Minéral)

All these materials are weather-resistant and frost-resistant, and some models are available with fast delivery.

Here are the steps for laying a rectangular stepping stone:

• Determine the spacing: generally, the distance between each slab is about 60 to 70 cm (the length of an average step).
• Mark out the path: use stakes and string to visualize the layout.
• Prepare the ground: dig to the depth of the slab (+ a few cm for the bedding layer).
• Add a bed of sand or gravel to stabilize the stepping stones.
• Lay the slabs: adjust their level using a mallet.
• Fill the joints with gravel or leave lawn around them for a natural effect.

With good spacing and a perfectly flat surface, the result is both aesthetic and safe.

These slabs can be laid in a straight line, in a zigzag or randomly depending on the desired effect. Their rectangular shape allows you to effectively structure a path.
