Description

French stone in its natural expression

Paving in natural French stone, extracted in Bourgogne–Franche-Comté, laid in opus incertum for a free, authentic and timeless mineral look.
The natural shades vary from beige to golden, including cream tones, derived from different limestone rocks of the region.

This paving comes directly from our manufacturing workshop in Burgundy, where the material is processed and enhanced to offer a natural mineral solution at a controlled price.

This product is offered in 2 different ways of producing the stones, which directly influences its price, as well as the appearance of the pieces and the finished floor. In both cases, it is the same stone, with the same technical qualities:

1. Large format selected slabs

The stones come from large slabs specially cut from the block, then broken by hand to obtain natural shapes.

Irregular and naturally chipped edges
Dominant large pieces (2 to 6 pieces per m²)
No straight sides
More harmonious and architectural appearance

👉 The edges are rough, like a naturally fractured stone.

2. Sawing offcuts

The stones come from the revalorization of manufacturing offcuts from paving sawing:

Multi-format, smaller pieces (6-12 pieces per m²)
Irregular shapes with sometimes right angles, broken or sawn edges
Some pieces can be almost rectangular
More fragmented and rustic appearance

👉 This is an intelligent use of leftover material, with a rustic, lively and economical format, ideal when prioritizing natural material and a controlled budget.

COLOR: STRONG VARIATION (4/4)

Each piece shows marked color variations, with the possibility of multiple shades within the same batch. This aspect makes the final result both unique and unpredictable. These natural differences enhance the authenticity of the project and require careful installation to harmonize the shades across the entire surface. It is important to note that for products with strong color variations, only a larger quantity order allows for effective sorting during installation.

MARKED TEXTURE (3/4)

The perceptible reliefs between the elements add character to the covering by creating a varied texture. For a harmonious finish, it is advisable to distribute the pieces well during installation. These materials, often resulting from mechanical manufacturing with some
variation, have a slightly textured surface and edges. It is recommended to use slightly wider joints, between 5 mm and 10 mm depending on the stone, to ensure an optimal fit.

SIZE: STRONG VARIATION (4/4)

Each element is unique, with marked differences in size and thickness. This type of material is suitable for projects seeking an authentic and traditional effect. Installation with wider joints is recommended to compensate for discrepancies.
