Natural stone and tile showroom in Thionville

Minéral Thionville: natural stone and tiles in Moselle, between Metz and Luxembourg

Since 2013 our showroom in the Zone des Bateliers, at 6 Rue des Balanciers, has welcomed homeowners and trade customers from northern Moselle. People come from Thionville, Yutz, Hayange and Metz, and from nearby Luxembourg and Belgium, for a patio, a pool surround, a path, a staircase, an indoor floor or a stone-clad wall. They all want the same thing: to see the materials for real before making up their minds.

Winters between Lorraine and Luxembourg: the stone has to keep up

In northern Lorraine, as in the Grand Duchy, winter is tough on outdoor surfaces: frosty nights, thaws, refreezing and salt on the paths. A porous or fragile stone will crack or flake within a few seasons. That is why we always start here: our outdoor paving, cobbles and tiles are chosen to be frost-resistant, hard and durable, before we even talk about price. The right product is the one that still looks good winter after winter.

A full choice, from tight budgets to high-end

The Thionville showroom gives you access to the whole Minéral range:

• Travertine for indoor and outdoor paving, pool coping, cladding or basins, in natural stone or travertine-effect ceramic.
• Limestone, granite, porphyry, slate, quartzite and marble as paving, cobbles, edging, steps and wall copings.
• Tiles and porcelain stoneware in stone, wood or concrete effects: more than 300 outdoor references from 60×60 up to large 120×220 formats, and up to 320×160 indoors. Minéral is an authorised dealer for the Italian brand Mirage.
• Stone cladding for a living-room wall, a façade or a garden wall.

Entry prices start at around ten euros per square metre. Whether you choose an affordable tile or a rarer stone, the selection follows the same quality criteria.

Stock, trade supply and made-to-measure together

A trade supplier sells in volume but offers little made-to-measure work. A stonemason makes every piece to order, and the price follows. Minéral brings the two together: a large stock and volume trade supply for keenly priced paving and tiles, and pieces made in our workshops where they really change the result.

In practice, your pool coping can be cut from the same paving as your patio, for a seamless finish. A staircase, basin, worktop or shower tray can be made in the same stone as your floor. You keep a quality floor at a reasonable price and invest where the eye lingers.

See, touch, compare

In the indoor showroom and the outdoor display, products are laid as they would be at home. You walk on the paving, compare natural stone and porcelain side by side and see the shades in daylight. The outdoor display is open during the shop’s opening hours.

To make the most of your visit, bring plans or a sketch with dimensions, the areas to cover and a few photos of the house or garden. If you are torn between two products, samples are available on many items. You can drop in without an appointment, or book a set time online with “Book an appointment”.
