The installation of a marble washbasin, a noble and dense natural stone, guarantees durability, safety and aesthetics. At Minéral, all our washbasins are designed to be installed on a cabinet, a countertop, or as a freestanding basin, depending on the model selected from our collection.

Each basin is designed to receive a suitable drilling: drain plug, waste outlet, wall-mounted faucet or countertop-mounted. Marble, although resistant, remains sensitive to occasional impacts: that is why we recommend careful handling during installation, as well as the use of tools suitable for natural stone.

→ Standard dimensions: our formats (bowl, pebble, rectangular...) are designed to fit easily into standard cabinets, while ensuring optimal ease of use. The height of the basin must be balanced with that of your faucet to avoid splashing and ensure good ergonomics.

In case of impact, don't panic: marble is a solid material. It can be restored with a professional epoxy resin, as we do in our workshop for our custom-made basins. A light sanding or touch-up filler makes it possible to extend the lifespan of the product while maintaining a uniform visual appearance.

1. An accessible standard collection

At Minéral, we offer two main ranges to meet all projects:

We select a series of imported natural stone washbasins, priced between €105 and €420 incl. VAT, which offer an excellent value for money. These are honed natural marble products, available as bowl, pebble, or pedestal washbasin formats in cream, grey or black shades.

These models are:

• Available in stock, in standard dimensions (from 28 to 70 cm),
• Ideal for refined projects at a controlled price, whether for a main bathroom, a secondary shower room or guest toilets.

2. A made-to-measure range, crafted in our workshops in France

In parallel, we are master marble craftsmen for 4 generations, and offer a range of custom-made washbasins entirely made in France, in our workshops.

→ This range allows:

• A choice of formats and custom drilling.
• A possible variation in about fifteen models (bowl washbasins, rectangular, countertop, pedestal, hand basins, etc.).
• A very wide range of materials: Carrara marble, travertine, limestone, Burgundy stone from our own quarries, and other through-dyed stones.

The prices vary depending on the material and format:

• A small custom-made hand basin in Burgundy stone (approx. 37 × 25 cm) starts at around €400 incl. VAT.
• A large pedestal washbasin in exceptional marble, a unique piece, can reach €4,000 incl. VAT.

Maintaining a marble basin, carved from a natural stone, is simple but requires a few precautions to preserve its natural radiance and its nuances. Thanks to our know-how as a contract marble craftsman for 4 generations, we recommend the best practices from the field to preserve the beauty of your basin, whether it is marble, travertine, or a light limestone.

Whether your basin is installed in a bathroom or a toilet, it is essential to use the right products to avoid damage caused by water, limescale or overly aggressive household products.

Regular cleaning: gentle but effective

Many customers think that black soap is enough. That is true: it will not cause any damage. But it adds nothing more to the stone, and may eventually leave a greasy deposit.

This is why we recommend Lithofin Wash & Clean, a cleaner formulated specifically for natural stone:

• It contains a gentle hydrophobic base that avoids completely removing the water repellent applied initially. Result: your protection lasts longer.
• It also contains a linseed oil base, which nourishes the stone with every cleaning. This allows the material to develop a natural patina, which enhances its beauty over time, instead of impoverishing it as a standard detergent would.

Deeper cleaning: to revive the material

If your basin is particularly dirty or has suffered deposits (soap, limescale, cosmetics), a periodic cleaning with Lithofin Multi-Cleaner is recommended. This product is more active while respecting the natural surface, and is suitable for sensitive stones such as marble or travertine.

Protective treatment: maintaining the radiance

To maintain the shade over the long term, the soft feel and prevent stains, a water- and oil-repellent treatment is essential. We recommend Lithofin Fleckstop W, a colorless water repellent, ideal for wet areas such as bathrooms. It prevents grease, water and cosmetics from penetrating the stone, while letting the material breathe.

⚒︎ This treatment must be renewed every 12 to 18 months depending on use.

Expert recommendations

• Avoid all acidic products (vinegar, bleach, descalers) that irreparably damage sensitive stones.
• Never rub with an abrasive sponge: use a microfiber or a soft cloth.
