ALL ABOUT OUR BAGGED GRAVEL

Our bags of natural gravel offer a practical solution for all your outdoor landscaping needs. Available in several colors and sizes, they are suitable for gardens, mulching, and pedestrian pathways. Fast delivery throughout France.

The price of gravel bags varies mainly according to the quality, the grain size, the parent rock and the packaging. For garden or DIY use, you will find bags from €10.50 at Minéral, with a variety of references such as crushed gravel NOIR EBANO at €10.50 per 25 kg bag or crushed gravel ROUGE DE VÉRONE at €10.90.

Bags allow easy handling of small areas, with a weight generally between 18 and 25 kg. For large projects, the big bag or bulk are more economical per cubic metre.

At Minéral, our gravel bags are always in stock, with a wide range covering several colours (white, red, black, Alpine green, etc.) and grain sizes. You also benefit from fast delivery on all your purchases.

The bagged gravel is ideal for mulching, landscaping flower beds, or decorating borders and paths. Mineral gravels such as ICE BLUE crushed gravel (available in 25 kg bags) add an elegant touch thanks to their natural bluish shades, while rusty slate mulch in 25 kg bags offers a warm and structuring effect.

The bagged pozzolan, with grain sizes around 10/20 mm, is perfect for natural mulching, limiting evaporation and the growth of weeds, while being weather-resistant. We have recommended this material for over 10 years to landscapers for its technical qualities.

For a graphic effect, the ROUGE DE VÉRONE crushed gravel 25 kg bag combines very well with white pebbles or black ones, creating modern contrasts in your green spaces.

💡 All these products are regularly used on green terraces, sloping gardens or flat roofs, with excellent feedback on stability and drainage. For a lasting installation, we always recommend using a geotextile.

The bags of gravel offer several advantages for private customers or small projects:

  • Easy transport and storage: the bags are easy to carry by car and can be stored in a garage or a garden shed. Our customers appreciate this flexibility, especially for projects in urban areas.
  • Precise quantity: perfect for decorative projects of small size or for garden touch-ups.
  • Variety of products: availability in bags lets you try different gravels, colors and sizes before ordering a larger quantity.
  • Less waste: no need to buy large volumes if you have a limited area to cover.

However, for large areas, buying in big bags (often 1/2 m³ or 1 m³) remains more economical, and for professionals, bulk supply allows you to optimize the cost per cubic meter.

The choice of gravel size depends on the use:

  • 8/12 mm: ideal for pedestrian paths, mulching, borders and general decoration. For example, our VERT DES ALPES crushed gravel in 25 kg bags is perfect for this type of use.
  • 10/20 mm: well suited to flower bed mulching and terraces, especially pozzolana in 18 kg bags, which offers a natural look and good durability.
  • 30/50 mm or more: often used for rockeries and areas requiring a pronounced mineral effect.

The correct installation and maintenance are essential for your gravel to retain its appearance and function over time:

  • Installation: prepare the ground, remove the weeds, level it and lay a geotextile membrane. Then spread your bagged gravel to a thickness of 3 to 5 cm depending on use.
  • Maintenance: light cleaning with a blower or gentle sweeping is enough to remove dust and leaves. Rinsing with clean water helps preserve the colour.
  • Precautions: avoid harsh chemicals that can alter the colour and texture of natural gravel.

These recommendations come from our installation sheets used on hundreds of worksites.
