Red gravel

• Crushed gravel ROUGE DE VÉRONE: a chipping with warm, deep tones, from a quality limestone rock. Its intense red color is ideal for a decorative landscape that will highlight your paths, beds and planting areas.
• Crushed sandstone gravel QUARTZITE ROUGE: rougher and more durable, this gravel offers a natural red shade that withstands bad weather perfectly. Perfect for decorative use but also as a draining substrate under plants or around pebbles.
• Crushed gravel POUZZOLANE: a natural product of volcanic origin, often a favorite of gardeners for its draining properties and its role as a natural fertilizer. The red pozzolana is light, soft to the touch and improves plant growth by maintaining good soil moisture.

Choosing the quantity of red gravel depends on the area to be covered and the desired thickness. In general, a thickness of 3 to 5 cm is enough for effective and attractive mulching. To estimate the quantity, multiply the area (in m²) by the thickness (in m), then by the average density of the product (about 1.5 tonnes/m³ for crushed gravel).

For a lasting installation, it is recommended to prepare the surface carefully. Start by laying a geotextile to limit weed regrowth and ensure good drainage. Then spread an even layer of red gravel using a rake.

Crushed gravel (see the full range) must be regularly maintained to keep its new look. Simple cleaning with a blower or a broom removes leaves and dust. In case of moss or weeds, a suitable treatment can be applied.
